Brought to you by Secret Garden

Wow, it's been over a 2 years since I last blogged!!

I'm currently obssessed with Koreanovelas right now so I decided to read reviews in hopes of looking for the next great series to watch. I came across 2 blogs about Coffee Prince (my current series)and Secret Garden (the series that started this K-raziness) so I thought I'd write again. It's also a great way to kill time while Coffee Prince is loading at DramaCrazy :P

Now, let me start this off with Secret Garden. Man, that series is great :) It's the first Koreanovela I ever watched, thanks to Kwini. My first impression was... the lead star looked like Vic Sotto. Hahaha :P Here's a pic from the drama:

It's a story about Gil Ra Im- a stunt woman with a strong personality, and Kim Joo Won- a haughty department store owner. It has that now all-familiar plot: rich guy falls in love with poor girl. The twist? They catch a spell in the "secret garden", causing them to switch bodies. As much as I like magic on my books, I try to steer away from them when it's on love stories. I almost stopped watching this series pero thankfully it's just for a few eps. It just gave the drama the right amount of comedy and twist :)

Ha Ji Won, who played Ra Im, is one of the better Korean actresses out there. She also played the stuntwoman role very well. I really like the party scene when she appeared all dolled up and beautiful :)

Now, Hyun Bin's portrayal of Joo Won.. Man, how do I say this? He's just the type of actor that grows on you, and you like him more the more you watch. *sigh* I just need to share more pics:
The guy can definitely act! The scenes where he played Ra Im were hilarious! His labas-dimple smiles convey kilig, shyness and all the yummy stuff. From the super-yabang department store-manager demeanor to Ra Im's crush on Oska, to the frightening elevator scene to the party kiss... *sigh* He's definitely my "first love" in Korea. He's officially taken over my gadgets- my laptop, cellphone and Zen has his face on the wallpapers X__X Maybe it's a good thing he went off to KR military, even Google has no news left about him.

I'd give SG 4.8/5 :) This is definitely one of the series I would watch again.

Hopefully I get to watch other Koreanovelas as good as SG (or even better). I'm loving Coffee Prince right now, I think I'd write about it next time. Before I sign out, here's another Hyun Bin pic :)
